This is so valuable to understand. I am a fitness content creator / micro-influencer on Instagram and record with my phone. I often feel like my content is lacking compared to those using a camera. It makes me feel better hearing you reiterate that personality matters.

"People connect way more with personality than production" - I love that. I'd also add the following suggestions for video-curious folks: 1) Loom yourself (camera only) when having conversations. 2) Drop the loom link into OpusClip to get dozens of captioned, edited clips 3) Post the ones that speak most to you. You'll be amazed how good you sound because you are actually having real conversations and sharing your knowledge. This was my gateway into video. Another tip: 1) Create a "Video Script Writer" Project in ChatGPT and instruct it to help you create short 30-60 second video clips based on ideas you feed it. 2) Sign up for BIGVU, which lets you view the script on your phone like a teleprompter, record, and then caption & edit. 3rd tip: Download CapCut and just play around with it using clips from your weekend. Stitch together a bunch of pictures & videos and just learn how to use the formatting tool that way - no pressure, just learning. These three approaches have helped me get go from terrified of video to a lot more comfortable.
